Being the Institution of Engineering and Technology there is a prerequisite that AV facilities are of an exceptional standard. Not only is all equipment up to date and state of the art, but the venue also has an in-house AV team of seven staff members, all of whom are experts in their specific fields.
Kelvin Lecture Theatre (which seats 451) has a 7.5m ultra-wide infinity screen which utilises two projectors providing a double edge blend. This enables clients to show presentations in an ultra-wide format and can show wide-screen videos too.
Dolby 5.1 surround sound has recently been added to the lecture theatre. Cleverly placed speakers now allow cinema quality screenings with full surround sound. While the impressive moving lighting system can really bring the space to life for your special screening, including multiple moving fixtures, special effect lighting, coloured LED bars and gobos. There is also the option for custom gobos, providing additional branding to an event.
In-built PTZ cameras allow sessions to be filmed and recorded. Using the in-built CAT 6 cabling throughout the building, means content can be streamed from the theatre to any room in the building. By streaming the content to the Turing Lecture Theatre on the second floor, which can seat 175 delegates, increases capacity to up to 626 delegates. The venues high-speed broadband enables events to be live-streamed from the lecture theatre too.
