SCREENING VENUE
Church House Westminster is located within leafy Dean’s Yard and offers a peaceful setting along with stunning views of Westminster Abbey. Its central location is enhanced by excellent transportation links and within minutes of St. James’s Park and Westminster tube stations and a short walking distance from Waterloo and Victoria mainline stations.
The largest event space is the stunning Grade II listed Assembly Hall and was designed by world-renowned architect, Sir Herbert Baker. Natural light streams through the 15 arched windows onto the gallery level but can be darkened if required. The polished oak panelling and historic emblems sit beneath the room’s architectural focal point – a striking 30-foot glass dome. The Assembly Hall accommodates up to 600 guests, including the upper gallery.
The unique dome shape of the Assembly Hall can be configured to accommodate a screening for up to 600 guests, whilst using any of the other 18 event spaces offers an opportunity for even more attendees to attend with the use of livestreaming. Alternatively, the other event spaces can be used to host pre and/or post-event hospitality, green rooms for VIP guests and keynote speakers, exhibition spaces or an organiser’s office.
Alongside modern event facilities, the venue’s in-house team of expert audio-visual technicians are on hand to assist with event production.
The 6m x 3.375m wide screen utilises 4K laser projection and 5.1 surround sound. In 2019 a bezel hanging screen of 5.5m x 3m will also be available for events in the Assembly Hall.
3 in-built PTZ cameras allow sessions to be filmed, recorded and streamed. The in-situ CAT 6 cabling and IPTV makes it possible to stream content using the internet from the Assembly Hall to any of the other 18 rooms in the building. By live streaming to the second largest room, the Hoare Memorial which seats up to 270 delegates, for example, increases capacity to 870 delegates. The Ascender video switcher allows for 12 input sources to be connected and switched depending on requirements.
1gbps high-speed broadband, 8 stage lighting system and roaming microphones complements the visual output on the 16:9 cinema size screen. The lighting desk controls more than 350 moving heads and is similar to the one used at Wembley Stadium.
“I just wanted to express my sincere thanks to your team. Since our initial contact every little detail of our requirements were seen to in a prompt and professional manner. We have had nothing but praise for the event itself."
